The School of Pharmacy currently has 3,705 undergraduates, with five majors: Pharmaceutical Sciences (Intensive Training Base), Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmaceutics (including Excellent Engineer Class for Pharmaceutics). As of today, the majors of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmaceutical analysis have all been selected as the National First-Class Undergraduate Major Construction Sites. We have achieved excellent results in the National Education Quality Assessment, i.e., 1 National Teaching Team; 1 National Outstanding Lecturer, 2 Outstanding Lecturers in Ideological and Political Courses of the Ministry of Education, 1 Outstanding Lecturer of Jiangsu Province, and 4 lecturers have won the highest award for undergraduate teaching Guobang Teaching Award at CPU.

In line with the worldwide trend for the education of pharmaceutical sciences workforce, our school aims to train the talents with in-depth knowledge of medicine and pharmacy, and with expertise in research. In recent years, our school has won the First Prize of National Teaching Achievement twice, 2 Teaching Achievement Awards of Jiangsu Province, and 6 Teaching Reform Projects of Jiangsu Province.

We have accumulated high-quality education and rich teaching resources. All core courses in our school are required to be first-class and all experimental courses are designed to be bilingual. Our school edited the first series of core pharmacy textbooks in China and has been the leading editing university. In addition, textbooks of Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Pharmacology are all selected as the National Teaching Planning Materials, and corresponding courses are also listed in the National High-quality Courses. In the past three years, we have won 3 National High-quality Online Open Courses, 2 National First-class courses, and 1 National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Project.

Our school has 2 National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centres, namely, the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centre for Pharmaceutical Sciences, and is the leader of the Discipline in the Joint Committee of National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centres.  We have hosted the Experimental Skills Competition for Students of Pharmacy/TCMs Colleges and Universities, and the National Competition for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Experimental Teaching and Learning Reform of Students of Pharmacy/TCMs Colleges and Universities. In line with the development trend of the modern pharmaceutical industry and pharmacy education, and to improve the practical ability of students, we have built a first-class Integrated Experimental Platform for Innovation Training in China, including the Intelligent Video Interactive Experimental Platform, the VR virtual simulation experimental platform, the modern innovative experimental platform for pharmaceutical analysis, biological experimental platform, chemical experimental platform meeting the requirements of environmental protection and safety, as well as a Practical Training Centre for Simulated Pharmacy .

We have successfully hosted two international pharmacy conferences, the First International Symposium on Development of Pharmacy Schools and the First Global Summit on Pharmacy Education, to learn the latest advance of international pharmacy education. So far, we have signed undergraduate exchange programmes with several worldly renowned pharmacy schools, including the School of Pharmacy of the University of Southern California (US), the University of the Pacific (US), the University of Arizona (US), and the University of Strathdyde (UK). Students are encouraged to actively participate in overseas exchange programmes. Dozens of students have gone to these universities to accomplish their dissertation and internship. We endeavor to enhance the collaboration with overseas universities, including appointing foreign professors as mentors, and inviting Nobel Prize laureates to give lectures on campus, in an attempt to broaden the horizon for students
